printing

We've had a large piece of high density foam kicking around our garden for the last few years and the kids have drawn all over it with sticks. Yesterday we decided to have a go at pulling a print from it.

We used water based relief ink which the foam absorbed too easily and hand printed it with chinese rice paper.

Then we had a go with damp Hahnemuller which worked much better.....

My friends have just installed the woodcuts from my Platform show in their apartment in Randwick, it's awesome they hung them straight on the wall instead of trying to frame them.
